Getting to the Basin Bash
The Basin Bash will be held at The Depot, located 1.7 miles from the hotel, at 5 p.m. on Thursday night. We highly recommend taking a free, 13-minute streetcar/TRAX ride (blue or green lines only) from the corner of Main Street and 500 South and getting off at the Arena stop. In lieu of riding the streetcar, attendees can grab a quick, 8-minute Uber or enjoy a scenic, 34-minute walk. Don't forget your conference wristband!

Welcome Reception Recap
After a long day of travel, AAPL's board meeting or early Annual Meeting education offerings, Annual Meeting's Welcome Reception served as a perfect place to unwind, reconnect with old friends and form new relationships. The First-Timer/Young Professional/Nonmember Mixer inside the Welcome Reception was full of newcomers wanting to get more plugged into AAPL. Thank you all for attending. Check out some of the highlights on our Facebook account. We look forward to making even more connections tonight at the Basin Bash inside The Depot!

Bring your towel and water and join Harriet Robinson on the final morning of Annual Meeting at 7:30 a.m. for yoga in the courtyard! Utah's Liquor Laws Reminder
Some liquor laws in Utah are just like everywhere else. Only adults of legal age can order and consume beer, wine and hard liquor at bars, pubs and restaurants and, you guessed it, that legal age is 21. It’s the unique aspects of Utah’s liquor laws that need a little explaining. Any establishment that is deemed a restaurant will require food ordered with alcohol (i.e., ordering fries will suffice), a valid ID is required to show regardless of how gray your hair is and alcohol is only available to order between the hours of 11:30 a.m. - 1 a.m. Learn more at Utah.com.

The Grand America Hotel features:
  • The Lobby Lounge operates under a restaurant license.
  • The Laurel Restaurant – operates under restaurant license. However, they do have a bar section in the Laurel.
  • The other bar option at the hotel is the Gibson Girl Lounge.
