This course will cover recent caselaw in Appalachia. A particular emphasis will be placed on: 

  1. "production in paying quantities" under an oil and gas lease, 
  2. "contractual" remedies available to a lessee prior to an oil and gas lease being abandoned, and 
  3. the Ohio Marketable Title Act and Dormant Mineral Act, amongst other relevant cases and updates for the oil and gas industry.
