The presentation will discuss the background of allocation wells and address the legal authority to drill allocation wells and the Railroad Commission‚Äôs position on allocation.  The presentation will largely focus on a discussion of recent legal challenges to allocation wells, including the Opiela v. EnerVest Operating litigation and the future of allocation wells.  The presentation will also address the applicable regulations in permitting allocation wells and best practices for calculating production from allocation wells.
