Committee Appointment
AAPL committee members serve the president and are required to be AAPL Active Members. Committee members are appointed for three-year staggered terms. Members may apply for appointment annually between January and late April for the following fiscal year which begins on July 1.

Thank you for being a member of AAPL. We value your membership and your commitment to establishing and maintaining a culture of the highest ethical and professional standards as land professionals. There are opportunities to be of service to our membership and profession through AAPL’s affiliated local associations and at the national level through AAPL’s many committees and boards. Appointments are made between January and late April for the following fiscal year, which begins on July 1.
You may express your interest in serving on a committee by completing an application. You must apply for each committee you are interested in as expectations differ. The application process will open in early 2026 for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
