Members are responsible for seeing that recertification credits are recorded to their transcript on their AAPL account within thirty days of attending the event by entering the component code provided on the Affidavit of Attendance.
Request Credit Approval
Pre-Approval of Non-AAPL Educational Events
AAPL affiliated local associations and other organizations may apply for pre-approval of AAPL Recertification Credits using the Application for Recertification Credits. The Application for Recertification Credits is required for each event and must be submitted with the following required documentation three weeks prior to the event:
- Speaker Bio(s)
- Program Outline / Schedule / Brochure – This should include a breakdown of topics, time of instruction/presentation, speakers, program description, etc. (Please note this is not required for luncheons or courses lasting one hour.)
AAPL will review the application and process the request (can take up to two weeks) and will e-mail an Affidavit of Attendance to the contact listed for distribution at the event. Post-Approval of Non-AAPL Educational Events for Individuals
AAPL members may apply for Recertification Credits for eligible non-AAPL events that they attended by submitting the Individual Application for Recertification Credits. The individual is responsible for submitting the Application along with the required program outline / schedule / brochure to firstname.lastname@example.org within thirty days of attending the event.
