Nominate

AAPL is truly the collective voice and strength of landmen over time as we have volunteered to make a difference for our profession for 60-plus years. Much of what we adhere to today was decided by landmen in generations past, and much of what landmen will adhere to years from now will be derived from the decisions of landmen today.

Award Nominations

The Awards Committee solicits nominations for awards Nov. 1 through Jan. 10. A member may make a nomination in multiple categories. The award winners are selected by the Awards Committee in March and are recognized at the next Annual Meeting.

Blankenship Family Horizon Award

The AAPL Educational Foundation established the Blankenship Family Horizon Award in 2019 to recognize a trailblazing female land professional who is a leader in our industry and has distinguished herself within the industry, in her career and has supported AAPL and its mission.

Former AAPL President Wayne Blankenship, CPL (1975), provided funds to AAPL in the early ’90s to support women's auxiliaries in memory of his wife, Mary K. Blankenship. This grand gesture from Wayne to his late wife, Mary, continues on with the presentation of the Horizon award.
