OVERVIEW

The AAPL RPL/CPL Certification Exam Review is a fast-paced, intensive study of the topics covered by the CPL and RPL certification exams. Held By Production and Royalty Issues Seminar

OVERVIEW

AAPL’s Held By Production seminar is designed to discuss the HBP status of a lease from two perspectives: 1) The state regulatory statutes and 2) The terms in the oil and gas lease. It is also designed with the in-house and title landman in mind as it pertains to putting a lease block together or making an acquisition or divestiture of production and/or oil and gas leasehold. The information is presented in a generalized fashion rather than focusing on any one state, although certain situations in individual states will be discussed from an example point of view.

Joint Operating Agreements 2-Day Seminar

OVERVIEW

The AAPL Model Form Operating Agreement is one of the most essential contracts employed by the oil and gas industry. Surface Use and Access Seminar

OVERVIEW

Surface Use and Access is designed to familiarize Land professionals with surface rights and the myriad issues associated with acquiring, exercising and preserving those rights. It focuses on why, when and what rights may be needed, and how to research and protect existing rights. It discusses a variety of surface-related contracts and their use. There is commentary on easement valuation, damage claim investigation and resolution, and the challenges of governmental permitting. Finally, it examines the criticality of building rela-tionships with regulatory agencies and the public.

Working Interest & Net Revenue Interest Seminar

OVERVIEW

This seminar is intended to equip Land Professionals with elementary skills for Working Interest [WI] and Net Revenue Interest [NRI] calculations. Instruction is limited to NRI and WI calculations which may be found in leases, assignments, operating agreements and associated documents.

In addition, AAPL offers a 2-Day Working Interest and Net Revenue Interest Seminar. Day one will consist of Basic instruction and examples. Day two will consist of Advanced instruction and examples.
